Willie (Rick)
Grable
Mar 2, 1964 — Dec 3, 2025
Sparta
"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5
Willie (Rick) Grable was born on March 2, 1964, to the parents of the late Joseph (Bay) Grable, Sr. and Susie Mae Sallad Grable in Hancock County, Devereaux, GA. He was blessed with eleven siblings. An angel approached whispering, "It's time to go home," and hearing those words, Rick answered the call, departing from this earthly life on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Rick attended the Hanock County Public School System. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Stanton Grove Baptist Church, attending as often as he could.
Rick spent his life doing the things he enjoyed, such as riding his bicycle, walking, and helping others around their homes. He was a natural entertainer, for he brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered by telling jokes and having fun, dancing to the music as he rode in the car with his family and friends. To know Rick was to love him.
Waiting to meet Rick are his parents, Joseph (Bay) and Susie Mae Grable and siblings, Dorothy Mae Grable Macklin, Elijah Grable, Leon Grable, Marvin Grable, Tommie Lee Grable, and Joseph Grable, Jr.
He leaves to forever cherish his memories, his siblings, Josephine Grable Lawson Core, Betty Grable Smith, Barbara Ann Grable all of Springfield, OH, Jerome (Gladys) Grable, Milledgeville, GA, Jimmie Lee Grable, Sparta, GA; Sister-in-Laws, Emma Grable, New York and Lannie Lewis, Sparta, GA; a devoted niece, Lenora Grable and family of NY, along with several other devoted nieces and nephews of Ohio, New York, and Georgia; and finally, known by many but a special bond and connection with the Pine Valley Community, brother Jerome ( Gladys ) and Je'Rodney Grable, niece Bonita ( Ricky ) Barnes and family, Minnie Lamar and family, and Earnestine ( Randy ) Dixon.
