Our family chain is broken, leaving an emptiness that cannot be filled, but in God's perfect time, each link will be reunited, never to be broken again.

Mrs. Linda Sue Williams Simmons was called home March 16, 2026. She was born in Baldwin County to her loving parents, the late Lenzie and Catherine Walls Williams.

Linda was educated in the public schools of Hancock County. Linda accepted the Lord as her personal savior and joined Jones Chapel A.M.E Church at an early age. She was employed at Central State Hospital, owner of The Put Out, and LSSSS (Linda Sue Simmons Security Services). Her passion was cooking and feeding people. Linda was loved by all that knew her and was willing to extend a helping hand and watchful eye to all in the community.

On July 11, I981, Linda and Starling Simmons were joined in holy matrimony. A union that lasted 44 years.

On the 16th day of March our beloved Linda answered the eternal call and went to be with her Lord. Weep not for me though I have gone into that gentle night. Grieve if you will but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight. I am at peace; my soul is at rest. There is no need for tears for with your love, I was so blessed. For all those many years there is no pain. Put now these things out of your thoughts in your memory, I live on.

Remember not my flight, remember not the strife. Please do not dwell upon my death but celebrate my life. Linda will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Her memory shall always linger in the hearts of her husband, Starling Simmons and children; sons Tywan Williams, Danreco (Tamika) Williams, Byran (Kristin) Simmons, daughter/granddaughter Shykevia Williams, four brothers, Patrick Williams, Lenzie Williams, Roy Lee (Charlotte) Williams, Walter (Bernadette) Williams, four sisters Joann (K.C.) Williams, Carolyn (Larry) Greene, Bonnette Sherman, Trixty (Johnny) Roberson, two aunts Sadie Jefferson and Catherine Harper, brothers-in-laws Dennis (Minnie) Simmons, Milton (Betty) Simmons, Harold (Arlene) Simmons, grandchildren, Ra'Dajah (Darius) Blackshear, Danreco Williams Jr., Taron Latimore, Ian Pinkston, Wyatt Williams and two great grandchildren Kaycen and Khalani Blackshear, and two special great nephews, Takiyon and Korresse Horto, special friend of the family John Burton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
